Column Vase — Cascade

A handmade ceramic vase in carbon trap Shino glaze with patches of white and light peach concentrated at the top, cascading downward into points. The rest of the stoneware surface is mossy green with fine crackle throughout. The interior is traditional rusty Shino.

Every carbon trap surface is the result of reduction firing — the kiln atmosphere, not the maker, decides where the color lands. This pattern happened once and won't repeat.

• Handmade stoneware, cone 10 reduction fired
• 9⅛" tall × 3½" wide
• Carbon marking, flashing, and tonal shifts are the process. Not a flaw.
