Galaxy Glaze Large Triangle Display Bowl — Studio Second

$78.00
Only 1 available

A large, strongly triangular display bowl in the galaxy glaze — blue shifting through purple to green depending on the light, iron speckled and highly reactive, cone 10 reduction fired. This glaze is now retired: a material shortage means it can't be mixed again. An exposed foot ring and rim of warm stoneware ground the color. More display piece than everyday bowl.

Details:

  • Stoneware, cone 10 reduction fired, iron speckle
  • 10½" wide × 5" tall
  • Galaxy glaze (retired) — blue to purple to green, highly reactive; varies piece to piece
  • Exposed warm stoneware foot and rim
  • Reduction fired and non-porous — safe for food and liquid despite the bare rim
  • Food-safe. Hand wash recommended.
  • Shipped in compostable and recycled packaging.

About Studio Seconds: This piece is a studio second. It is fully functional and made with the same materials and care as my other work, but may have minor cosmetic imperfections — such as small glaze variations, surface marks, or subtle asymmetry — that don't meet my standard for first-quality pieces. These details do not affect use or durability, and are reflected in the price.
